Fire's nomination letter

Submitted by Jen Pavillard

Fire began playing flyball in June 2010, days after her first birthday. She was selected to a 2010 Green Dream Team and a 2015 Tribute Team in Region 13. She quickly became a solid and essential team dog with a PB time of 4.4 seconds. Fire could run in any position and was often used to help train new/green dogs coming up in flyball. Fire amassed many significant flyball accomplishments. These include: * 2011 - 2016, placed in the top 30 of Top Point Earning Dogs, * #1 Top Point Earning Dogs in 2012 with 25,766 points, * #1 Top Flat Coated Retrievers (FCR), * CanAm 2013 Regular 10 Champion, * CanAm 2014 Multi 3 Runner-Up, * July 2015 earned HOBBES, * First FCR to earn the FGDCH-50K through HOBBES awards, * Only FCR to have earned MB-ONYX and MBGDCH awards, * Fire is #22 in Lifetime Points Ranking. Fire ran with 130 different dogs * among 12 different clubs, and participated in 185 tournaments in 17 states/provinces. People knew when she was in the building because they could hear Chris yelling "FIRE!!!". Fire passed away in May 2017 after a brief illness. She accumulated 122,322 points with 34,775 multibreed points. But what we wouldn't give to hear Chris yell "FIRE!!!" just one more time.
